Second Round of Judging: 13th Annual Double Exposure Photography Exhibition in Tuscaloosa, AL

Here is a follow-up on the Double Exposure juried photography competition. I am excited to announce after the second round of judging we have two photography students taking home prizes! 

$250 Best of Show: Taylor Meadows, Montgomery, for "Peripheral Vision"
$125 Awards of Excellence: Lindsey Sampson, Montgomery, for “Leaf"

All student work will hang in the Bama Theatre through January 25-February 21; Gallery Hours Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-noon & 1 p.m.-4 p.m.  


There will be a Junior Division Closing Reception at Bama Theatre on February 21 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. where the students will receive their awards.

13th Annual Double Exposure Photography Exhibition in Tuscaloosa, AL

I am excited to announce the following Photography II students made it past the first round of judging for the 13th Annual Double Exposure Photography Exhibition in Tuscaloosa, AL:

The Double Exposure juried photography competition is open to photographers in the state of Alabama with divisions for both Juniors and Adults. 

The First round of judging:
Images to appear in the exhibit are chosen from digital images on disks mailed to The Arts Council. 

The Second round of judging:
The accepted works are then matted and delivered to Tuscaloosa, AL. Then, the purchase award, cash prizes and honorable mentions are selected after the exhibit is hung in the Bama Theatre gallery prior to the opening reception.

2015 Montgomery Humane Shelter Holiday Card Awards Ceremony

I am excited to announce what our winners placed at the  Montgomery Humane Shelter "Howli-day" Card Contest Awards this past Saturday.

Sydney Eng- 6th grade- Grand Prize Winner. She received $100.00 plus her design will be the cover for the Montgomery Humane shelter's 2015 holiday card. 
Hope Frawley- 8th grade-  2nd place in 6th-8th grade category 
Nayoon Kang- 8th grade- 3rd place in 6th-8th grade category 
Sophie Shoults- 2nd grade- 3rd place in 1st-5th grade category

Montgomery Humane Shelter 2015 "Howli-day" Card Contest
