Double Exposure 2013-14

In its eleventh year, the Double Exposure juried photography competition is open to photographers in the state of Alabama with divisions for both Juniors and Adults. Images to appear in the exhibit are chosen from digital images on disks mailed to The Arts Council then the purchase award, cash prizes and honorable mentions are selected after the exhibit is hung in the gallery prior to the opening reception.

The first round of judging is complete. The students listed below will appear in the exhibit. After the exhibit is hung in the Bama Theatre galleries, the judge will select the winners in person. Exhibit reception and awards presentation will be held on February 2, 2014 from 2 pm - 3 pm. Below are the Saint James pieces that were chosen to hang in the show and go for the second round of judging!

Photography II Famous Artist Replica

Photography II students are researching Famous Artists and well known paintings. Their goal is to try to replicate the paintings using photography. When this project is complete they will have replicated 5 different paintings into photography. Below are two students first attempts. Great Job!

"Howl-iday" Card Winners

I am pleased to announce the 2013 winners of the Montgomery Humane Society's Howl-iday Card Art Contest!

The Students, Family, and Friends are invited, free of charge, to the Montgomery Humane Society's Annual Walk 'N Wag at the Shakespeare Festival to find out which place they won and to receive their award. The event begins at 8 am on Saturday October 5th.  They need to arrive no later than 9:30am that morning and check in with me up near the stage set up in front of the Theater.
